Job summary

TRUMPF is seeking a Production Test Engineer in Cranbury, NJ to lead testing and burn-in of diode laser devices and manage production equipment ownership. The role emphasizes process control, sustaining existing processes and supporting development of new ones, with strong problem-solving and leadership elements.

You will work on DOEs, yield improvement, and cost reduction projects, mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with vendors for equipment upgrades, while using precise measurement

Qualifications

5+ years hands on experience testing diode lasers and laser systems.
Experience in engineering support for manufacturing of laser products is desired.
Extensive experience with SAS JMP, Minitab or other statistical software packages.

Responsibilities

Own production processes and tools with high complexity.
Lead small teams and manage multiple projects.
Plan, track and complete projects on time; drive yield improvements and cost reductions.
Troubleshoot complex equipment and process issues; mentor junior staff.
