Job summary

Mach Industries in Huntington Beach, CA seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer focused on laser processes. The role covers laser cutting, welding, and part marking across TRUMPF systems, with hands-on ownership of process development, tooling, and automation.

You will work with design, Quality, and Automation teams to move trials into dependable production, scale flexible processes for high-mix, low-volume work, and transfer validated processes to production facilities in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5+ years in manufacturing/laser process engineering for senior level; 8+ for principal.
• Hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting industrial laser cutting/welding.
• Strong understanding of laser-material interactions and process variation.
• Experience taking processes from development to production with tooling and training.
• Proficiency with engineering drawings, CAD, GD&T, and fixture design.

Responsibilities

• Own laser cutting, welding, and marking process development from feasibility to production.
• Design fixtures, workholding, and tooling for repeatable part location and changeover.
• Define and deploy automation for mixed-product production.
• Lead equipment commissioning, acceptance, and supplier coordination.
• Establish inspection methods, process controls, and corrective actions.
• Develop capacity and cycle-time models to improve yield and throughput.
• Create controlled process packages and ensure transfer to production facilities.
