Job summary

TRUMPF North America is seeking a Production Test Engineer to own diode laser device testing and burn-in, manage production equipment, and support process development. The role emphasizes problem solving, leadership of small teams, and cross-functional collaboration in a high-tech laser manufacturing environment.

The candidate will drive DOE initiatives, improve yield and cycle times, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring accurate measurement with state-of-the-art tools.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience testing diode lasers and laser systems.
• Engineering support experience for manufacturing of laser products is desired.
• Experience with SAS JMP, Minitab or other statistical software.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple processes and tools with high complexity.
• Lead small teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Plan, track and complete projects on time.
• Drive DOEs to completion and lead R&D projects within process and equipment expertise.
• Improve tool uptime and implement cost reduction and cycle time improvements.
