Job summary

GE Aerospace in the United States is seeking an Inspector with 5 years of manufacturing inspection experience. The role requires using advanced hand tools and measuring devices (optical comparators, CMM, programmable testers) and performing complex mathematical calculations, including metric conversions and geometry.

You will apply judgment, disposition nonconforming material daily, and work cross-functionally to ensure product quality, while developing GD&T knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• 5 years inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability and willingness to use advanced hand tools and measuring devices (i.e. – optical comparators, CMM, programmable and specialized testers) as required.
• Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, etc.), may have to perform metric conversions, conversions to decimals, and use geometry.

• Solves straightforward problems using prior experience and training.
• Daily dispositioning of nonconforming material.
• Partners cross-functionally to arrive at decisions.
