Job summary

GE Aerospace in Loves Park, IL seeks an Inspection team member to assess and finalize precision aircraft components. You will read blueprints and GD&T, use CMM MCOSMOS and other gauges to ensure conformance to specifications.

Responsibilities include first article and final inspections, documenting data, and assisting machinists as needed. The role emphasizes accuracy and teamwork on-site.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret GD&T, blueprints, and quality docs.
• Read and interpret assembly/part specifications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and quality docs for parts produced or purchased.
• Use CMM MCOSMOS, optical comparators, micrometers, gauge blocks, calipers, and indicators to measure components.
• Perform necessary calculations with minimal training.
• Conduct various inspections including first article, receiving, final, and in-process sampling.
• Assist machinists by checking dimensions not measurable at the machine.
• Check parts for conformity to processes and specifications.
• Follow standardized procedures and devise gaging/measuring setups.
• Generate non-conformance records for non-conforming parts or assemblies.
