GE Aerospace Indianapolis is seeking an Inspection Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will use calipers, micrometers, and CMM-based inspection to verify part dimensions and document results.

The role requires reading procedures, applying basic math, and adhering to safety standards while supporting continuous improvement and accurate reporting on production quality. Candidates should have at least one year in manufacturing, high school diploma, and a willingness to learn multiple

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or HSE required.
• One year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using hand measurement gauges (mics, verniers, bore gauges, calipers, height gauges, indicators).
• Familiarity with simple machine and tool operations.
• Ability to read procedures, detailed build plans, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to perform precise and detailed work.
• Effective communication within a team and adherence to safety practices.
• Willingness to participate in a team environment.

Aufgaben

• Perform precision inspections using hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Document calibration inspection results and verify specifications.
• Carry out inspections and calibrations per written instructions and codes.
• Set up and calibrate equipment; interpret results against standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems problems and ensure defect-free delivery.
• Maintain calibration status of measuring/test equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
