Job summary

Mizuho Financial Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Production Support Manager for Market Risk Technology to lead the operational assurance of a critical risk platform supporting VaR, FRTB, and stress testing.

You will drive EOD and intraday stability, oversee multi-region L2/L3 support, and champion observability with business-relevant SLOs to reduce noise and improve reliability. The role involves maintaining legacy and Databricks pipelines during migration, managing the tech plant, deployments,

Qualifications

10+ years of production support in financial services.
At least 5 years leading L2/L3 support across multi-region teams.
Hands-on with Market Risk platforms (VaR, FRTB, stress testing, P&L, data management).
Proficient in Python; able to read, debug, and extend tooling.
Knowledge of Tidal, Airflow, and Kubernetes in batch-driven environments.
Experience with SSIS and Databricks migrations.

Responsibilities

Drive stability and incident command for EOD batch processes using Tidal, Airflow, Kubernetes, and Python orchestration.
Manage the technology plant including clusters, hosts, databases, storage, networks, service accounts, and cloud infrastructure.
Maintain rigorous hygiene of infrastructure and applications, burning down backlogs and enforcing discipline.
Lead L2/L3 support operations across regions with engineering teams.
Oversee deployment, change management, audits, and service communications for regulatory alignment.
Champion observability as a product with relevant SLOs and reduced alert noise.
Define the boundary between development and support and resolve recurring issues permanently.
