Job summary

Barclays in Whippany, NJ is seeking a Senior Production Support Engineer - AVP to monitor and maintain critical technology infrastructure and resolve complex issues with minimal disruption. You will lead a team, optimize monitoring, and drive risk and control activities in partnership with Build the Bank and business stakeholders.

The role requires strong SQL, Unix/Windows, ITIL proficiency, and experience with Autosys, MQ, Solace, and AppDynamics. Local on-site presence is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in SQL, Unix, and Windows in a banking/finance environment.
• Strong ITIL knowledge with incident, change, and problem management experience.
• Hands-on monitoring and observability with modern tooling (AppDynamics, others).
• Experience with automation, autosys, middleware, and messaging platforms (MQ/Solace).
• Ability to analyze logs and performance data to identify root causes and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support to maintain critical production systems.
• Lead stabilization projects and drive risk and control activities.
• Automate monitoring and alerting to improve system stability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
• Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
