Job summary

Barclays Services LLC is seeking a Delivery Team Lead - AVP in Whippany, NJ to manage large-scale technical projects across the bank, guiding Agile delivery and collaborating with stakeholders. You will mentor teams, coordinate with Product Owners, and ensure high-quality software delivery aligned with regulatory and security standards.

The role requires leading Agile ceremonies, PI planning, and SAFe practices, with a focus on risk management, dependencies, and data-driven reporting.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and continuously improve Agile ceremonies, ensuring they are well-structured, time-boxed, and outcome-driven.
• Lead Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement, and PI events.
• Mentor junior team members on Agile, Lean, and SAFe principles, ensuring correct and consistent application of Scrum and Kanban practices.
• Identify, address and remove impediments to delivery, proactively addressing blockers, risks, dependencies, and systemic issues.
• Escalate and coordinate with the RTE, other Scrum Masters, and ART-level forums when impediments exceed team boundaries.
• Partner with the Product Owner to optimize execution, backlog refinement, story readiness, capacity and sprint planning, and delivery execution.
• Enable PI Planning and Inspect & Adapt readiness and execution with refined features and stories, clear capacity assumptions, and dependencies.
• Represent the squad in scaled Agile forums with data-driven updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery confidence.
• Ensure Jira data quality and transparency across workflows, statuses, ownership, and dates for reliable reporting.
• Support Agile delivery for Oracle-based platforms and Ab Initio ETL/data integration workloads.
