Job summary

Barclays seeks an AVP Application Support Analyst in Whippany, NJ to oversee critical fraud applications for US Consumer Bank. The role covers end-to-end service management, incident and problem resolution, and BCM/DR design to ensure resilience.

You will mentor L1/L2 teams, drive automation, and optimize SQL-driven environments. The position offers a competitive salary with an incentive award, and is based in our Whippany office where collaboration with a broad technology operations community

Qualifications

• Experience managing fraud applications within US Consumer Bank.
• End to End Service Management including ITIL practices.
• Strong incident, problem and change management skills.
• Design BCM/DR strategies and ensure operational resilience.
• Proficient in SQL with performance tuning for large scale environments.
• Familiarity with Run the Bank/Build the Bank changes and Run the Bank processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for service management to resolve complex issues for clients.
• Lead preventative maintenance tasks on hardware and software using monitoring tools.
• Maintain a knowledge base of resolved cases for self-service and knowledge sharing.
• Analyze logs and events to identify root causes and apply fixes or changes.
• Drive automation and improve monitoring, capacity, resiliency, and continuity.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues affecting services and compliance.
• Collaborate across teams to evolve monitoring and alerting to reduce false positives.
• Educate and upskill L1/L2 technology operations teams.
