Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing, preferably metal fabrication or job-shop.
• Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing experience in a production setting.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling software.
• Ability to read and interpret production drawings, BOMs, work orders, and docs.
• Excellent organization, multitasking, and cross-functional communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-range production schedules based on customer requirements and capacity.
• Coordinate schedules across welding, fabrication, cutting, forming, finishing, and assembly operations.
• Review orders, drawings, BOMs, and requirements to determine needs and resources.
• Monitor progress and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, or changing priorities.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Warehouse, supervisors, and leads to release jobs in proper sequence.
• Identify bottlenecks, balance resources, and improve overall production flow.
• Track status and provide updates on completion dates and delays to management.
• Maintain accurate production schedules and planning information.
• Develop metrics for on-time delivery, throughput, labor utilization, and lead times.
• Lead Lean and continuous-improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve safety, quality, and productivity.
