Job summary

Blue Origin is hiring in Huntsville, AL for a production scheduling role within Operations. You will build schedules for new programs, establish baselines, and coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to ensure on-time delivery while managing risks.

The role emphasizes data-driven planning, use of scheduling software, and collaboration across teams to stand up new processes and drive continuous improvement, including AI-enabled approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience in high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of MRP systems and processes.
• APICS CPIM certification or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma / continuous improvement.
• Proven track record of improving throughput and on-time delivery.
• Familiarity with AI tools to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Develops production schedules and manufacturing plans from the ground up based on program schedule and resources.
• Establishes scheduling processes and baselines for a new program.
• Identifies schedule risks and communicates status clearly to teams.
• Maintains initial schedule baselines and supports change control.
• Manages production schedules for assigned programs.
• Coordinates with Program Management, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Engineering.
• Uses MS Project and Primavera P6 to create tactical schedules.
• Balances detail level to support control while allowing execution flexibility.
• Provides updates on upcoming production priorities to management.
• Assists with schedule recovery and bottleneck analysis.
