Job summary

Waters Corporation in Milford, MA seeks a senior Production Planning leader to guide two planning functions across labor-intensive Assembly Ops and Machining Ops. You will oversee a team of 5 planners and partner with Demand, Supply, Procurement, and Production to build plans meeting customer expectations.

You will drive master production scheduling, MRP, IBP, and capacity planning while optimizing inventory and throughput, including NPI integration and liaising with contract manufacturers.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain or related field.
• 10+ years in production planning and inventory in manufacturing.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• Advanced proficiency with SAP APO and Microsoft Office.
• APICS CPIM certification or equivalent highly desired.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead site Production Planning and Scheduling teams to meet delivery needs.
• Develop and enforce MPS and MRP processes using SAP APO.
• Drive IBP participation and real-time status updates.
• Collaborate with procurement to optimize material flow and reduce delays.
• Create rough-cut capacity models balancing cost and utilization.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers to align demand and supply.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
