MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group in Boonton, New Jersey, is seeking a Production Planning Manager to lead production plans and schedules, manage material requirements, and oversee inventory for a manufacturing operation. The role focuses on aligning demand with capacity, optimizing WIP and finished goods, while coordinating with cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

5+ years in production planning, materials planning, inventory control or supply chain in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on ERP/MRP experience supporting planning and inventory management.
Experience with production scheduling and capacity planning against demand and material availability.
Inventory management across raw materials, WIP and finished goods, including cycle counting and inventory accuracy.
Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reporting) and strong analytical skills.
At least one certification such as APICS CPIM, CSCP or CLTD.
Ability to work on-site in Boonton, New Jersey with a commuting plan.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and execute production plans and schedules that meet customer requirements and manufacturing objectives.
Forecast production and material requirements based on demand, history, inventory levels and capacity.
Plan and control raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods inventory against targets.
Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories, analyze discrepancies and drive corrective actions.
Maintain planning parameters, bills of materials, routings and manufacturing orders in the ERP/MRP system.
Coordinate production planning across multiple plants and locations.
Lead production planning and scheduling meetings, anticipate delays, capacity constraints and material shortages.
Build planning reports and KPIs, including quarterly Hyperion reporting.
Coach and guide team members in planning and inventory activities, ensuring ISO compliance and internal controls.
