Job summary

MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group seeks a Production Planning Manager for a Boonton, New Jersey manufacturing site. You will oversee production planning, scheduling, materials planning, and inventory control across multiple locations to align demand with capacity.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing planning, strong ERP/MRP proficiency, advanced Excel, and experience with BOMs, routings, and ISO-compliant controls. On-site, direct hire, senior level.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production planning, materials planning or inventory control in manufacturing.
• Hands-on ERP/MRP experience supporting planning and inventory management.
• Experience with production scheduling and capacity planning against demand and material availability.
• Inventory management across raw materials, WIP and finished goods, including cycle counting.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reporting).
• APICS CPIM, CSCP or CLTD certification.
• On-site work in Boonton, New Jersey with a feasible commuting plan.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and execute production plans and schedules that meet customer requirements and manufacturing objectives.
• Forecast production and material requirements based on demand, history, inventory levels and capacity.
• Plan and control raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods inventory against established targets.
• Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories, analyze discrepancies and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate planning parameters, bills of materials, routings and manufacturing orders in the ERP/MRP system.
• Coordinate production planning across multiple plants and locations.
• Lead production planning and scheduling meetings, and anticipate delays, capacity constraints and material shortages.
• Build planning reports and KPIs, including quarterly Hyperion reporting.
• Coach and guide team members in planning and inventory activities, and ensure compliance with ISO requirements and internal controls.
