Job summary

BorgWarner is building a new state-of-the-art facility in Hendersonville, NC, seeking a Senior Production Planner to develop and maintain the master production schedule in alignment with business objectives.

You will collaborate with supply chain, production, engineering, and customer service to optimize inventory, forecast demand, and ensure on-time production. The role requires a Associate's degree and 5+ years of planning experience, with SAP and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 5+ years of planning and scheduling experience.
• Familiar with standard planning concepts and ERP/MRP tools.
• SAP experience strongly preferred; MS Office proficiency a must.
• Manufacturing environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute production schedules aligned with customer demand, capacity, and material availability.
• Adjust production plans based on demand changes and material constraints to ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor production performance, open orders and backlog; ensure adherence to schedule and service targets.
• Identify and resolve production issues such as shortages and scheduling conflicts; implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance workload and optimize production flow.
• Release and execute production orders in SAP; maintain data integrity in ERP systems.
• Manage material requirements through planning to minimize excess and obsolete stock.
• Produce reports on schedule adherence and planning accuracy to drive continuous improvement.
