Job summary

BorgWarner Arden campus is seeking a Production Planning Intern to support day‑to‑day planning, scheduling, and supply chain activities in a manufacturing environment. The role provides hands‑on exposure to planning processes, material flow, inventory management, and cross‑functional coordination with production, procurement, logistics, and engineering teams.

You will work to improve data accuracy, planning efficiency, and operational effectiveness, collaborating with teams to optimize plans.

Qualifications

• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
• MRP System experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in production scheduling and planning activities (daily/weekly schedules).
• Support material planning activities including demand vs. supply analysis.
• Help maintain and improve planning data accuracy (BOMs, routings, lead times).
• Analyze inventory levels, shortages, and excess material.
• Support supplier performance tracking (on time delivery, lead times).
• Participate in cross‑functional meetings with production, purchasing, and logistics.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and supply chain.
• Document processes and create standard work where applicable.
