Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Material Planner in North Carolina to ensure uninterrupted material availability for production. You will analyze demand patterns, adjust SAP planning parameters, and coordinate with suppliers to optimize on-time delivery and inventory turns across automotive and commercial vehicle programs.

Responsibilities include managing MRP, reviewing planning data, and supporting SIOP/EOP processes with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; associate degree with equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of 3 years material planning or related manufacturing experience.
• Automotive/commercial vehicle manufacturing experience strongly preferred, including exposure to OEM releases, EDI, launches, and capacity constraints.
• Experience managing suppliers and resolving material shortages in a time-critical environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand patterns and translate into replenishment strategies and SAP parameters.
• Execute MRP and manage exception messages; adjust supplier releases and scheduling.
• Monitor inbound delivery, schedule adherence, and capacity; balance material availability with production needs.
• Lead cross-functional planning and communication to mitigate supply risk and optimize inventory.
