Job summary

Intuitive in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Sr Production Planner to lead planning for Instrument or Systems Manufacturing lines, oversee order fulfillment, and manage inventory throughout the manufacturing process.

The role collaborates with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering to balance demand and supply, apply Lean principles, develop process improvements, and drive uptime and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have strong planning, forecasting and scheduling capabilities.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles helpful.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication.
• Familiarity with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned NPI/Sustaining projects at strategic and tactical levels; drive process improvements.
• Mentor team members; develop and update WI & DOP.
• Lead department projects; track scope, timelines and escalations.
• Engage Manufacturing teams to implement continuous improvement.
• Identify supply risks and align supply chain with production plans.
• Apply planning concepts to solve supply constraints.
• Perform capacity analysis and what-if scenarios for growth.
• Maintain department metrics and drive corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to NPI programs for transitions to sustaining lines.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to review ECO implementation.
• Support production activities and maximize line uptime.
• Analyze build schedules and supplier delivery for shortages.
• Develop communication with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping, and Customer Service.
• Resolve work order variances; coordinate with Cost Accounting.
• Monitor and adjust planning parameters in SAP.
