Job summary
SMTC Corporation is seeking a Senior Program Planner in Fremont, CA. You will lead production planning for complex customer programs, ensuring material availability, capacity, and on-time delivery while balancing demand and manufacturing constraints.
You will work with Master Scheduling, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality to optimize readiness, address shortages, and support NPI and product transfers. Five+ years in EMS or manufacturing planning are preferred.
Qualifications
- Education and certifications aligned with senior planning roles.
- Minimum five years of production planning or supply chain planning experience.
- EMS experience with complex programs and NPI is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead production planning for assigned customer programs to meet commitments.
- Analyze MRP recommendations, demand, capacity, and inventory to optimize readiness.
- Identify planning risks and develop recovery plans to avoid delays.
- Coordinate planning for NPI, engineering changes, and product transfers.
- Collaborate across functions to resolve shortages and scheduling conflicts.
- Mentor junior planners and drive ERP/MRP improvements.
