Job summary

Dover Precision Components in South Houston/ Pearland is hiring a Senior Production Planner to forecast, coordinate, and schedule production to meet customer demand for the Bearings Plus division.

You will manage capacity planning, align labor and materials, and optimize asset utilization while maintaining ERP settings and inventory policies. Strong scheduling and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or business required; bachelor’s preferred.
• 4+ years’ experience in production scheduling in machine shops and manufacturing.
• Experience in Rough Cut Capacity Planning and Capacity Management to MP Scheduling.
• Experience procuring products and managing supplier relationships.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong Excel user.
• Syteline ERP experience is a plus; APICS/MAPICS is a plus.
• Bearing industry experience is a plus; machining environment knowledge is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide production forecasting, coordination, and planning based on customer demand.
• Manage Rough Cut Capacity Planning & Capacity Management; ensure Master Production Schedule execution.
• Schedule manufacture/repair orders; coordinate with floor for available personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Set ERP settings in Syteline and manage safety stock sizing and ordering policies.
• Provide analysis on capacity constraints and inventory performance; drive improvements.
• Develop reports; explain variances; support customer service with order status.
• Plan for quick job cycles while absorbing emergency repairs with minimal delivery impact.
• Monitor labor hours and reconcile time variations with Production Manager.
