Job summary

Dover Precision Components, part of Dover Corporation, is hiring a Senior Production Planner for our Bearings Plus facility in Houston/South Houston area. The role focuses on forecasting, planning, and coordinating manufacturing and repair schedules to meet customer demand.

You will work with Operations to align labor, materials, and equipment, while optimizing capacity and inventory. Strong planning background in machine shops and CNC environments is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in production scheduling in machine shops and/or manufacturing environments.
• Strong experience in Rough Cut Capacity Planning, Capacity Management, and execution to Master Production Schedule.
• Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships and influence up, down, and across organizational lines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide production forecasting, coordination, and planning based on customer demand, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Manage Rough Cut Capacity Planning & Capacity Management to support the Master Production Schedule.
• Review sales order info and schedule manufacture/repair orders; release prints and materials as needed to meet due dates.
• Set and maintain ERP settings in Syteline and safety stock parameters to optimize capacity, material flow, and inventory levels.
• Develop reports and present plans, explain variances and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with order status communication and handle quick job cycles, accommodating emergency repairs with minimal delivery impact.
