Job summary

Oilgear seeks a Senior Production Planner to own the master production schedule and drive material flow at the Traverse City facility. You’ll set planning parameters, commit delivery dates, and guide shop-floor priorities to optimize on-time delivery and inventory turns.

This role requires coordinating with purchasing, logistics, and production leadership to resolve constraints. Qualifications include 8+ years in scheduling or production planning, strong ERP/MRP experience (Epicor preferred),

Qualifications

• 8+ years scheduling, production planning, or materials management in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred).
• Strong Excel skills for calculations, tracking, and reporting.
• Ability to read BOMs, routings, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and sequencing.
• Set backlog recovery strategy and CTB status; resolve past-due orders.
• Lead capacity planning across work centers and level-load schedules.
• Review ECNs, evaluate inventory exposure, and manage phase changes.
• Participate in S&OP to translate demand into an executable schedule.
