Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Sykesville, Maryland is seeking a Manager of Production Operations 3 to lead manufacturing execution, planning, and process improvements for a restricted program area in an onsite role. You will manage OPMs, production control, and cell teams, and define a factory strategy to ensure growth and long-term competitiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in PM/Manufacturing; master's with 6+ years.
• Min 10 years of team leadership or supervision.
• Experience with SAP/ERP and MRP processes.
• Experience EVMS and CAM.
• MS Office applications incl Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint.
• Active Secret clearance to start; US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage OPMs, production control, and cell management personnel.
• Define and execute a factory strategy for growth and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with senior staff to align manufacturing with technology and business opportunities.
• Contribute to overall management and growth of the company.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Mission Assurance and Program Offices.
• Plan and maintain operational budgets.
• Remove or mitigate delays to on-time deliveries.
• Lead site Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale metrics.
• Drive Manufacturing Engineering using SPC, FMEA, and Gauge R&R.
• Increase engagement across the manufacturing organization.
