Job summary

Leonardo DRS in the United States is seeking a Manufacturing Planner to drive MPS-driven planning, sequence jobs at dedicated workstations, and coordinate with Contracts to keep schedules balanced. You will manage materials, ensure availability of raw inputs, and monitor outside services to meet delivery commitments.

The role emphasizes a strong background in production planning, material management and ERP systems, with a focus on optimizing daily operations and maintaining accurate build plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience.
• Solid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationships.
• Strong background in project material management and production planning.
• Proficient in Excel, Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint; familiar with MRP.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence jobs based on MPS-driven demand for specific workstations.
• Meet weekly with Contracts to review pending demands and assign planner responsibilities.
• Manage workload and align resources to maintain balance.
• Communicate between planning, project accounting, and project management for Material EACs and Execution Charts.
• Maintain manufacturing build plans daily and ensure run and setup times are accurate.
• Ensure raw materials are available to run as scheduled and plan purchases as needed.
• Plan and monitor outside services and consolidate demand for purchase requisitions.
• Identify critical parts and issues that may affect the MPS.
• Support and defend the company's mission, values and culture.
