Leonardo DRS is seeking a Production Planner and Control to support scheduling and material analysis coordination within the Production Operations department. The role centers on owning the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on capacity, materials readiness, and labor availability to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience.
• Solid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationships.
• Strong background in project material management.
• Extensive experience in production planning.
• Skilled in the use of Excel, Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, Word, as well as SharePoint.
• Excellent understanding of MRP systems.

Responsabilités

• Manage end-to-end production plan for assigned scope, ensuring alignment with MRP requirements and delivery commitments.
• Lead production review meetings and drive discussions on Build Plan status and recovery planning.
• Plan and release Work Orders based on Sales Order and forecast; monitor WIP movement.
• Use shipping data and dashboards to review performance and escalate if commitments are not met.
• Prepare scheduling reports, KPIs, and status updates for operations leadership.
• Interface with Production, Supply Chain, Sales, Warehouse, Engineering, and Finance to maintain the Internal Operating Plan (IOP).
• Create dashboard reports to show actual shipments against forecast.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to establish a stable schedule considering yield, Kanban, and non-conformance.
• Reschedule daily delivery requirements to meet internal needs and contractual obligations.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and accuracy.
