Job summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a Planner II for its Bridgeton, MO facility to sequence and schedule production at key workstations based on the MPS. You will plan material requirements and manage releases to support on-time build deliveries.

You will maintain a line‑of‑balance, coordinate with Contracts, and ensure accurate EACs while driving improvements in planning processes. The role is on-site with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of production planning, project material management, or related experience.
• Solid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationships.
• Strong background in project material management.
• Extensive experience in production planning.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and sequence jobs at designated workstations based on demand from the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Meet weekly with Contracts to review new and pending demands and assign planner responsibilities.
• Manage workload distribution and align resources to maintain balanced planning operations.
• Maintain strong communication between planning, project accounting, and project management to support accurate material EACs and execution charts.
• Identify and implement improvements to systems, processes, and daily planning activities.
• Maintain daily manufacturing build plans and ensure accurate run and setup times for all jobs and parts.
• Track and update expected completion dates for scheduled work.
• Review schedules to confirm raw material availability and readiness for production.
• Develop forward‑looking plans for purchase requisitions and monitor material deliveries to support run schedules.
• Plan and monitor all required outside services
• Consolidate material demand for purchase requisitions
• Identify and escalate critical parts or issues that may impact adherence to the master production schedule
• Support and uphold the company’s mission, values, and culture
