Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a skilled Planner to develop, coordinate, and execute production and material plans, ensuring on-time delivery and efficient operations. The role collaborates with supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering to maintain schedules, check material availability, and resolve planning conflicts.

The Associate Planner supports demand forecasts, ERP updates, and scheduling improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience.
• Solid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationships.
• Strong background in project material management.
• Extensive experience in production planning.
• Skilled in Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
• Strong understanding of MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive consistent communications between planning, project accounting, and project management for consistent project Material EAC’s and Execution Charts
• Create appropriate documentation to plan material deliveries and monitor the supply chain
• Consolidate demand for purchase requisitions
• Create purchase requisitions based on the Master Production Schedule Create reports for distribution to program office, customer visits and management.
• Maintain manufacturing build plans on a daily basis
• Highlight critical parts and any issue, which may keep operations from meeting the MPS
• Coordinate engineering changes with purchasing and production. Ensure disposition of obsolete material

Job Summary

The Planner supports the development, coordination, and execution of production and material plans to ensure on-time delivery and efficient operations. This role works closely with supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering teams to maintain accurate schedules, monitor material availability, and resolve planning conflicts. The Associate Planner assists in analyzing demand forecasts, updating ERP systems, and identifying opportunities to improve scheduling accuracy and production flow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
