Job summary

Focus in Seneca, SC is seeking a Senior Production Manager to oversee assembly operations for a product group. You will drive continuous improvement, safety, quality and cost effectiveness while aligning manpower, materials and equipment with production schedules.

Reporting to plant leadership, you will develop and mentor direct reports, establish metrics, and collaborate with engineering, HR and supply chain to meet customer commitments. Lean manufacturing principles are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required.
• MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years supervising salaried production staff.
• At least three years of Lean Manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to train, coach and mentor a team of salaried production supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic vision for areas of responsibility.
• Communicate goals for support groups (e.g. Engineering, Human Resources, Supply Chain).
• Accountable for safety, quality, delivery and financial performance.
• Own manufacturing performance metrics and develop continuous improvement action plans.
• Participate in creating new policies and deploying employee-related policies.
• Monitor capacity to meet customer program requirements.
• Provide guidance on daily activities to support production.
• Coordinate with functional managers on Quality, HR and Manufacturing programs.
