Job summary

RMS Inc. seeks a Production Manager to lead CNC machining operations across three shifts at our Chicopee, MA facility. You will drive production planning, ensure on-time delivery, and uphold safety and quality standards while mentoring shift leads.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of CNC processes, and the ability to improve throughput and cost efficiency. Join a hands-on leadership team focused on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience in CNC machining, aerospace or precision turbine components.
• 3+ years managing multi-shift (24/7 or near-continuous) production operations.
• Experience supervising leads/supervisors and developing frontline leadership talent.
• Solid knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, and precision-machined components.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day production operations for CNC machining across three shifts, ensuring continuity and performance.
• Foster customer relationships through satisfaction, timely communication, and issue resolution.
• Supervise, coach, and develop shift leads; conduct regular hand-offs and safety meetings.
• Build and manage production schedules with planning, sales, and engineering to meet delivery commitments.
• Monitor KPIs: on-time delivery, OEE, scrap, labor efficiency, safety; drive corrective actions.
