You will develop staffing plans, train supervisors, and collaborate with department heads to meet labor standards while maintaining safety, sanitation, and product quality. This role emphasizes leadership, problem solving, and accountability, with responsibilities spanning from regulatory

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma with equivalent experience or college degree preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years of related industry; 5+ years supervisory experience in a meat processing facility pork or beef preferred; knowledge of OSHA USDA and HAACP regulations.
• Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be capable of communicating well with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials.
• Special Skills: Leader, problem solver, team player.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise team members; interview, hire and train; plan, assign and direct work; monitor and appraise performance; reward, coach, counsel and discipline.
• Travel: 0-20
• Other Requirements: Lead people by example; sound judgment and decision making; safety and attendance records important; ability to work with department heads to meet safety, production, and quality goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in controlling expenses.
• Provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements.
• Interpret and enforce company policies.
• Maintain non-union program.
• Assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations.
• Prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to reflect conditions accurately.
• Solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up.
• Work with department heads to meet production quality yields goals and metrics while maintaining labor standards and product quality.
• Inspect and maintain high levels of housekeeping, safety, sanitation, security, and food safety.
• Manage, evaluate and train production supervisors.
• Oversee all designated shift operations and other duties as deemed necessary by the plant manager.
