Mercury, Part of HID Global, is seeking a full-time Operations Manager to join our Cypress, California team. The Operations Manager will oversee production and warehouse operations, planning and executing activities to enhance the quality of processes, materials, and company products. This role will collaborate closely with various departments to drive initiatives that support business unit goals and key performance indicators (KPIs). The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, along with self-motivation to be highly influential. Additionally, the Operations Manager will play a crucial role in managing team dynamics and ensuring operational efficiency, balancing a big-picture perspective with a hands-on approach as needed.

As our Operations Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Being responsible for the operations and warehouse functions, including backlog, scheduling, and capacity management.
  • Being a key player in KPI monitoring and controls.
  • Analyzing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of supervisors, technicians, and assembly workers.
  • Implementing lean manufacturing techniques to optimize efficiency and reduce waste; managing manufacturing waste.
  • Preparing and presenting detailed reports and presentations to higher management, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Meeting Mercury and Customer requirements, standards and codes of practice.
  • Ensuring compliance with all business regulations and ISO 9001 requirement.
  • Participating in risk assessments, inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Investigating and acting on delivery quality issues.
  • Optimizing machine production output.
  • Ensuring production efficiency / cost minimization / management of operating costs / employee labor efficiencies.
  • Ensuring all tools and equipment are up to date on preventive maintenance.
  • Ensuring quality control system is maintained.

Your Experience and Background include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Business Administration, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience, preferably in a related field or industry.
  • Proven experience in PCB assembly and configuration management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing metrics and process control techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The base salary for CA is $147,000 to $158,000.
