Job summary

Leidos’ Defense Systems Colorado Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Production Manager to join our team supporting a stand alone manufacturing facility performing work on a hypersonic weapon system as well as other DOD and aerospace applications.

The Production Manager will lead a team of production technicians, ensure 5S discipline, coordinate with control and engineering teams, and drive improvements to meet on-time delivery and quality goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and understanding of GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of production technicians.
• Maintain shop organization and 5S; perform weekly audits.
• Brief daily production status in morning meetings.
• Coordinate with production control to ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to improve production flow.
• Work with quality to address nonconformities.
• Identify roadblocks and escalate risks.
• Support continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain department performance metrics.
