Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Contract Equipment Engineer to design, procure, and sustain electrical/electronic automated equipment used in commercial airplane production. This role is based in Portland, OR and requires collaboration with design, manufacturing and quality teams to troubleshoot and improve production systems.

The successful candidate will work on hardware and software integration, data collection, and project management for equipment upgrades while ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related field, ABET preferred.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in production or related field.
• Experience with electrical/electronic automated equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment in a factory setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate hardware and software for automated control systems.
• Implement upgraded hardware and software into equipment.
• Design data collection and cybersecurity for production systems.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams on solutions.
• Lead projects involving production equipment procurement or modification.
