Job summary

Boeing is seeking a contract Equipment Engineer to support its Production Engineering organization in Auburn, WA and Fredrickson, WA. This role focuses on equipment development, implementation, and improvement within the Fabrication Division, under a contractthrough a Boeing-approved third party.

The position emphasizes training in equipment concepts, safety compliance, and collaboration across teams, with responsibilities spanning design to field troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (ABET preferred) and 5+ years' related engineering experience or equivalent.
• ABET is preferred but not required; advanced degrees accepted.
• Experience with project management and equipment evaluation in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate program and project requirements and develop equipment concepts for the Production System.
• Compile and analyze data to assess effects on design, usability and rates.
• Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and release bid and purchase specs for equipment needs from suppliers.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to quality, safety and repeatability.
• Develop work-arounds and maintain hardware documentation configurations.
