Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 7+ years’ experience manufacturing electric motors or similar electromechanical assemblies.
• Knowledgeable of electric motors, their components, the equipment, and testing/manufacturing processes.
• Excellent verbal/written communication for interactions with all levels.

Responsabilités

• Create tooling, fixturing, detailed assembly and test processes for motors and production hardware.
• Create, maintain, and improve FMEA, Control Plans, and other process control tools.
• Identify and act on opportunities to reduce material and labor costs.
• Design methods, processes, and tooling that can be automated.
• Understand and implement measurement techniques to assure part and assembly compliance.
• Investigate, assess and resolve production issues.
• Support introduction of new process and products into production.
• Implement improvements to current operations to improve efficiency.
• Seek out and utilize external resources and experts to solve issues.
• Manage procurement of tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Create and refine manufacturing documentation (Operating Sheets, Routers, etc.).
• Analyze layout of equipment and workflow to maximize efficiency.
• Generate procedures from industry and aerospace specs.
• Communicate designs and intent with team members and suppliers.
• Apply Lean principles to designs, material selection, etc.
• Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement.
