Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Product Test Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for PCBA and RF/microwave products in a high-paced production setting. You will drive root cause analysis, early production transitions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and improve processes.

The role focuses on product performance, yield optimization, and reliability, with opportunities to influence DFM/DFT practices and design-to-production transitions in a space

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• Minimum 8 years in a production environment.
• Experience in design, production and test of microwave hardware.
• Strong PCB debugging, embedded systems, and hardware/software integration.
• Excellent troubleshooting, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across teams to address on-floor challenges.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for PCBA and RF/microwave products during production.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of PCBA and RF-related issues including yield losses and deviations.
• Support hardware/software debugging of digital logic, embedded systems, and mixed-signal interfaces.
• Support LRIP and transition to consistent production.
• Review designs, drawings, and plans to improve products and manufacturing processes.
• Perform engineering work with Test Equipment group to ensure quality and objectives.
• Collaborate with design teams to influence DFM and DFT practices.
• Drive process improvements to enhance performance, reduce costs, and increase throughput.
• Provide hands-on engineering guidance in fast-paced production.
• Monitor yields, test margin and resolution of technical issues.
• Investigate and propose solutions to complex digital/RF/analog hardware problems.
• Lead problem containment and RCA investigations.
