Job summary

Abbott is a global healthcare leader advancing diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals and branded medicines. This Senior Cybersecurity Engineer role can work remotely within the U.S.

and is responsible for identifying risks, vulnerabilities, and threats to implement mitigation strategies for Abbott's secure products. You will deliver cybersecurity artifacts for software releases, lead remediation discussions, and work with cross-functional teams to drive risk reduction and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 2 years in cybersecurity or related discipline.
• Experience in end-to-end AI workflows and reducing vulnerability risk.
• Hands-on security testing for web, mobile, and cloud infrastructure using DAST, SAST, SBOM tooling, and vulnerability scanners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver cybersecurity artifacts for product software releases, including SBOMs and remediation evidence.
• Lead technical reviews with development teams on vulnerabilities and remediation progress.
• Prioritize remediation and patching with engineering, PMs, and product owners to reduce risk.
