Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Remote Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen product security across our Diabetes Care portfolio. You will identify vulnerabilities, design remediation strategies, and verify fixes in collaboration with engineering and product teams.

Work remotely within the U.S. and contribute to SBOM generation, vulnerability management, and secure coding practices while communicating risk insights to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, incl. cybersecurity.
• Hands-on security testing across web, mobile, cloud.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity artifacts for product releases (SBOMs, remediation evidence).
• Lead vulnerability remediation and patching with cross-functional teams.
• Design remediation strategies and secure coding practices.
• Validate fixes through hands-on testing and risk communication.
• Triage findings from security tools and report residual risk.
