Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Specialist, Product Owner for its Data & Analytics team in Boston, MA or New York, NY. The role turns enterprise data into trusted data products and coordinates across Product, Engineering, Data Governance, Operations, and Client Delivery teams.

The successful candidate will establish operating standards, manage cross-team dependencies, and ensure data products are governed and documented.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding and enablement of data products, including intake, scope definition, ownership alignment, metadata readiness, governance review, certification, provisioning, testing, documentation, and release readiness.
• Partner across Product, Engineering, Data Governance, Operations, Platform, and Client Delivery teams to define responsibilities, manage dependencies, align sequencing, and clarify decision and escalation paths.
• Develop and maintain operating standards, playbooks, data dictionaries, process flows, decision records, and stakeholder-facing documentation to improve consistency and reduce reliance on manual knowledge.
• Drive adoption of scalable delivery patterns by helping teams move from one-off solutions toward reusable data models, governed provisioning approaches, and standardized platform capabilities.
• Apply product management discipline, data fluency, and stakeholder feedback to inform roadmap priorities, measure value delivery, and continuously improve data capabilities that support decision-making and operational efficiency.
