Job summary

BNY seeks a Vice President, Data & Analytics Systems Lead in Boston, MA to join the Performance & Compliance Engineering team. You will drive analytics product definitions for portfolio analysis, performance measurement, and risk analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Typically 6–10 years of experience.
• Experience in investment analytics, performance measurement, reporting.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with Agile environments.
• Experience with data integration and data quality controls.
• Ability to collaborate across business, operations, and technology teams.
• Interest in AI-assisted tools and applying them to improve engineering effectiveness and solution quality.
• Familiarity with vendor software and data providers such as Eagle Performance, MSCI, Amundi, Aladdin.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technology teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into functional requirements, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze and document workflows, reporting processes, data lineage, business rules, and control points.
• Work with financial data domains supporting performance, attribution, analytics, and risk processing and reporting.
• Define designs and configurations for one or more 3rd party and internally developed applications.
• Support operational workflow for performance measurement, risk and analytics processes including data setup and reporting.
• Partner with engineering and data teams on data integration, mapping, and downstream processing.
• Validate set-up and calculation outputs, reconciliations, data quality checks, and reporting results.
• Lead testing, implementation, and change management for new capabilities including automation of testing.
• Troubleshoot product and client issues, data flow errors and configuration defects.
