Job summary

BNY Mellon Senior Specialist, Product Owner role in the Data & Analytics team is based in Boston, MA or New York, NY. You will drive data product delivery across governance, engineering, and client delivery, turning enterprise data into reusable, governed products for internal and external use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in data-related fields.
• Experience in data product management and governance.
• Experience coordinating across business, product, engineering, governance, and client-facing teams.
• Knowledge of workflow, metadata, reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and enablement of data products across intake, scope, ownership, metadata readiness, governance review, certification, provisioning, testing, documentation, and release readiness.
• Partner across Product, Engineering, Data Governance, Operations, Platform, and Client Delivery teams to define responsibilities, manage dependencies, align sequencing, and clarify decision paths.
• Develop and maintain operating standards, playbooks, data dictionaries, process flows, decision records, and stakeholder-facing documentation to improve consistency.
• Drive adoption of scalable delivery patterns by moving from one-off solutions toward reusable data models, governed provisioning approaches, and standardized platform capabilities.
• Apply product management discipline and data fluency to inform roadmap priorities, measure value delivery, and improve data capabilities supporting decision-making and efficiency.
