Job summary

Humana seeks a Principal Product Owner / Architect to unify product strategy and solution architecture across Pharmacy, PCO, Home Solutions, and Humana Military. You will own cross-segment roadmaps while drafting architectural blueprints that guide multiple engineering teams and governance forums.

You will collaborate with segment product leaders, engineering, security, and compliance to deliver interoperable health solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field.
• 10+ years IT experience in product management or solution architecture.
• 5+ years in healthcare IT architecture or senior product ownership.
• Proven track record managing cross-functional backlogs & roadmaps at executive level.
• Hands-on Azure services experience and Snowflake/Databricks familiarity.
• Expertise in API design, governance, event-driven architecture, microservices, and HL7/FHIR interoperability.
• Experience producing ADRs and reference architectures for multiple teams.
• Ability to translate governance outputs into actionable product/architecture direction (ARB/TRB/MOR).
• Proficient in Agile/SAFe delivery with executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and own a unified cross-segment product roadmap across Pharmacy, PCO, Home Solutions, Humana Military.
• Establish and maintain reference architectures, design patterns, and integration standards.
• Lead cross-segment discovery sessions, design workshops, and architecture reviews.
• Own and prioritize top-level backlogs for shared platforms with clear acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements.
• Define integration contracts, API standards, and domain boundaries for data flows.
• Lead architecture checkpoints and governance forums (ARB, TRB, MOR).
• Translate product vision into architectural runways and delivery-ready specifications.
• Identify opportunities for component and pattern reuse across segments.
• Serve as liaison between segment leaders, engineering, EA Activation, security, and CIO org.
