Job summary

PennyMac Corp. is seeking a VP, Product Owner to manage high‑impact mortgage tech initiatives. You will drive product vision, end‑to‑end lifecycle, and roadmap while leveraging AI/ML capabilities to optimize document processing, underwriting support, and customer interactions.

You will collaborate with business units, technology, data science, and executives, translating needs into actionable goals, managing the backlog in Agile settings, and ensuring measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience applying Agile methodologies.
• Ownership of complex technology products or programs in Agile environments.
• Hands-on experience defining requirements for AI/ML/NLP-powered products.
• Understanding of product management best practices and data governance.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace.
• Experience with data management concepts and BI tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder interfacing abilities.
• Experience in Financial Services, especially mortgage industry, is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the designated area.
• Own end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch and iteration.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML for mortgage workflow optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across units, tech, data science, and leadership.
• Translate needs into clear goals, user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements.
• Own, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog in Agile, Scrum/Kanban.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and coordinate with Dev, Data, and QA teams.
• Drive cross-department initiatives to ensure seamless execution.
• Create and maintain essential product documentation and reports.
