Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategic vision for payroll technology, driving the Roadmap for Workday Payroll and extensions to close gaps with custom applications across the enterprise.

The role requires a strategic leader who can design end-to-end solutions in a complex HR/payroll landscape, navigate ambiguity, and deliver value through cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Finance, and HR partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of a bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of experience with Workday or other large-scale enterprise HRIS systems.
• Experience as a Product Manager in a modern software development environment.
• Experience with agile methodologies and XP practices (paired programming, TDD, CI/CD).
• Proficient in communicating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Skilled in creating actionable product roadmaps and clear PRDs.
• Proficient in backlog prioritization and discovery, user research and testing.
• Understanding payroll compliance, tax, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• 50% Strategy & Planning: translate business goals and user needs into product strategy; define metrics and backlog.
• 20% Delivery & Execution: write and refine user stories; manage release planning; ensure quality and change control.
• 30% People: collaborate with Engineering and UX; mentor junior team members; participate in practice communities; support talent development and retention.
