Senior Product Manager - Tech, FinTech Accounting

Amazon FinTech is looking for a Senior Product Manager Technical (PM-T) to deliver long-term scalable products that will help our Accounting and Finance customers improve financial reconciliation processes, accelerate financial close cycles, enhance controllership, and reduce manual effort through automation.

We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented, self-motivated Technical Product Manager, having a bent for solving complex problems and delivering high-quality technical products. You will be responsible for developing product strategy, defining product requirements, working with global internal accounting teams, influencing stakeholders, and engineering teams required to deliver an impactful product.

The ideal candidate for this role will have strong ownership, business and product sense combined with a solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts. You will need to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment without being hindered by ambiguity. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, the ability to partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Define product requirements and execution strategy for an enterprise product.
  2. Lead the product life cycle including vision, strategy, roadmap, requirements, user experience, delivery, launch, and support.
  3. Work with engineering, research, UX, technical program managers, and stakeholders to deliver a successful product.
  4. Collaborate with Amazon partner tech teams to ensure product reusability and avoid redundancies.
  5. Manage both upwards and downwards communications effectively.
About the Team

FinTech’s charter is to enable Finance & Global Business Services (FGBS) teams and amplify the benefits of FGBS teams to support the growth, expansion, and restructuring of the businesses. The Close Systems team owns coordination, execution, and continuous improvement for month close processes across FGBS teams. We own developing automation to scale with Amazon’s growth, reduce manual effort and defects, streamline processes, and drive accountability across teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience
  3. Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  4. Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  5. Experience with end-to-end product delivery
  6. Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  7. Experience managing technical products or online services
  8. Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
  2. Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel, and other tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
