Job summary

PGA TOUR, Inc hires a Product Lead to own the end-to-end vision, strategy, and development of ShotLink applications, the TOUR’s proprietary scoring system, and related products to score golf and track events in real time. This position is part of a team responsible for designing, developing, and managing scoring and tracking golf with real time data and statistical analysis across all PGA TOUR events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or Engineering, Information Systems, or adjacent degree with relevant work experience.
• 10 years related experience required in Product Management or Product Development, consumer digital products experience required.
• Strong understanding of agile practices including backlog management; experience with vendor relationships, UX/UI, and consumer research.
• Knowledge of camera tracking, LiDAR, GPS, RTK technologies preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple products and meet deadlines under pressure in a team environment.
• Extensive golf knowledge and interest in golf required; preferred knowledge in PGA TOUR events and scoring.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; commitment to high-quality work meeting PGA TOUR brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and milestones
• Manage the design and implementation of applications (hardware and/or software) across ShotLink services
• Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to develop digital products and services
• Work closely with developers, vendors, designers, and end users to improve product roadmap
• Manage overall product roadmap, milestones and engage stakeholders for continuous feedback loop
• Lead development of product including software and hardware, translating milestones into meaningful applications
• Manage backlog and coordinate with Project Managers
• Voice of the user for scoring tech, tournament producers, scoring officials, tournament staff to build tools
• Translate end user needs into tangible applications via user research
• Advocate for use of current and upcoming technologies
• Build relationships across golf tech and adjacent departments
• Collaborate and influence leadership
• Some travel required
• Special projects or other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong understanding of agile practices including backlog management and prior experience working with Project Management; deep prior experience managing and directing vendor relationships Knowledge of UX / UI and consumer research best practices as it relates to successful product development Knowledge of camera tracking, LiDAR, GPS, RTK technologies preferred Ability to use script languages a plus Understanding cloud-based architecture required Extensive golf knowledge and interest in golf required; preferred knowledge in PGA TOUR events and scoring Ability to manage multiple products and meet deadlines under pressure in a team environment Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to high-quality work product that meet PGA TOUR brand and fan standards

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Define product vision, strategy, and milestones
• manage the design and implementation of applications (hardware and / or software) across suite of ShotLink services
• Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to develop digital products and services
• works closely with developers, vendors, designers, and end users to continually improve product and advance product roadmap
• Manage overall product roadmap, communicate milestones and value drops, proactively engage with stakeholders for continuous feedback loop
• Lead development of product including software and hardware, taking milestones from larger organization and leadership, distill into meaningful applications and experiences that satisfy TOUR priorities
• Manage backlog and work closely with Project Managers to effectively communicate needs and timelines
• Act as the ‘voice of the user’ for scoring tech, tournament producers, scoring officials, tournament staff to build tools that support their work
• Translate end user needs into tangible applications, utilizing user research to validate business requirements
• Advocate for use of current and upcoming technologies, understand when to implement new and when to upgrade current
• Build strong relationships across golf technology and adjacent departments
• effectively collaborate and influence laterally and to leadership
• Some travel required
• Special projects or other duties as assigned
