Job summary

PGA TOUR is seeking a senior product leader to own the end-to-end vision for ShotLink applications, the scoring system, and related products. You will drive strategy, coordinate hardware and software development, and work with vendors, designers, and users to continuously improve scoring and tracking across PGA TOUR events.

The role requires deep golf knowledge, strong agile practices, and proven ability to manage multiple products under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards for fan

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, CS, engineering, information systems, or adjacent field.
• 10 years of product management or product development experience; consumer digital products.
• Strong understanding of agile practices and backlog management; vendor relationships experience.
• Knowledge of UX/UI and consumer research best practices for product development.
• Knowledge of camera tracking, LiDAR, GPS, RTK technologies preferred.
• Ability to use scripting languages a plus.
• Understanding of cloud-based architecture required.
• Extensive golf knowledge and interest; PGA TOUR events and scoring knowledge preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple products and meet deadlines under pressure in a team environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to high-quality work meeting PGA TOUR standards.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and milestones; manage design and implementation of ShotLink apps (hardware/software).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop digital products; work with developers, vendors, designers, and end users to improve product roadmap.
• Manage overall product roadmap and communicate milestones; engage stakeholders for feedback.
• Lead development of products including software and hardware; translate milestones into usable applications.
• Manage backlog and coordinate with Project Managers on needs and timelines.
• Act as the voice of the user for scoring tech to build useful tools for tournament staff.
• Translate user needs into tangible apps using user research to validate requirements.
• Advocate for current and upcoming technologies; decide when to upgrade.

Responsible for owning the end-to-end vision, strategy, and development of ShotLink applications, the TOUR’s proprietary scoring system, and other products to score golf and effectively track PGA TOUR events. This position is part of a team responsible for designing, developing, and managing scoring and tracking golf with real time data and statistical analysis across all PGA TOUR events.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or Engineering, Information Systems, or adjacent degree and relevant work experience.

• 10 years related experience required in Product Management or Product Development, consumer digital products experience required.

• Strong understanding of agile practices including backlog management and prior experience working with Project Management; deep prior experience managing and directing vendor relationships

• Knowledge of UX / UI and consumer research best practices as it relates to successful product development

• Knowledge of camera tracking, LiDAR, GPS, RTK technologies preferred

• Ability to use script languages a plus

• Understanding cloud-based architecture required

• Extensive golf knowledge and interest in golf required; preferred knowledge in PGA TOUR events and scoring

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Define product vision, strategy, and milestones; manage the design and implementation of applications (hardware and / or software) across suite of ShotLink services

• Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to develop digital products and services; works closely with developers, vendors, designers, and end users to continually improve product and advance product roadmap

• Manage overall product roadmap, communicate milestones and value drops, proactively engage with stakeholders for continuous feedback loop

• Lead development of product including software and hardware, taking milestones from larger organization and leadership, distill into meaningful applications and experiences that satisfy TOUR priorities

• Manage backlog and work closely with Project Managers to effectively communicate needs and timelines

• Act as the ‘voice of the user’ for scoring tech, tournament producers, scoring officials, tournament staff to build tools that support their work

• Translate end user needs into tangible applications, utilizing user research to validate business requirements

• Advocate for use of current and upcoming technologies, understand when to implement new and when to upgrade current

• Build strong relationships across golf technology and adjacent departments; effectively collaborate and influence laterally and to leadership

• Some travel required
