Job summary

PGA Tour is seeking a Product Manager to own the end-to-end vision, strategy, and development of ShotLink applications and the TOUR’s scoring system. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and manage real-time scoring and tracking for PGA TOUR events.

The role requires 10 years in product management, strong Agile and vendor management, and deep interest in golf. Travel is expected as you translate user needs into practical software and hardware solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, CS, or engineering; related work experience.
• 10 years in Product Management or Product Development with consumer digital products.
• Strong Agile, backlog management, and vendor relations experience.
• Knowledge of UX/UI and consumer research for product development.
• Familiarity with camera tracking, LiDAR, GPS, RTK technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and milestones for ShotLink services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, vendors, designers, and users to improve products.
• Manage product roadmap, milestones, and value drops with leadership input.
• Lead development of software and hardware milestones translating to usable applications.
• Act as voice of the user for scoring tech and tournament staff.
• Travel as needed; handle special projects.

This position is part of a team responsible for designing, developing, and managing scoring and tracking golf with real time data and statistical analysis across all PGA TOUR events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or Engineering, Information Systems, or adjacent degree and relevant work experience.
• 10 years related experience required in Product Management or Product Development, consumer digital products experience required.
• Strong understanding of agile practices including backlog management and prior experience working with Project Management; deep prior experience managing and directing vendor relationships
• Knowledge of UX / UI and consumer research best practices as it relates to successful product development
• Knowledge of camera tracking, LiDAR, GPS, RTK technologies preferred
• Ability to use script languages a plus
• Understanding cloud-based architecture required
• Extensive golf knowledge and interest in golf required; preferred knowledge in PGA TOUR events and scoring
• Ability to manage multiple products and meet deadlines under pressure in a team environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to high-quality work product that meet PGA TOUR brand and fan standards

Responsibilities/Duties

• Define product vision, strategy, and milestones; manage the design and implementation of applications (hardware and / or software) across suite of ShotLink services
• Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to develop digital products and services; works closely with developers, vendors, designers, and end users to continually improve product and advance product roadmap
• Manage overall product roadmap, communicate milestones and value drops, proactively engage with stakeholders for continuous feedback loop
• Lead development of product including software and hardware, taking milestones from larger organization and leadership, distill into meaningful applications and experiences that satisfy TOUR priorities
• Manage backlog and work closely with Project Managers to effectively communicate needs and timelines
• Act as the ‘voice of the user’ for scoring tech, tournament producers, scoring officials, tournament staff to build tools that support their work
• Translate end user needs into tangible applications, utilizing user research to validate business requirements
• Advocate for use of current and upcoming technologies, understand when to implement new and when to upgrade current
• Build strong relationships across golf technology and adjacent departments; effectively collaborate and influence laterally and to leadership
• Some travel required
• Special projects or other duties as assigned.
