Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist Product Manager for Test Security Platforms in the United States. The role owns five security domains and the platforms delivering them, moving security into a shared platform across market-facing and internal apps.

You will drive a threat‑intelligence–led roadmap and partner with engineering, security operations and analytics to measure and improve detection and trust.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management, including security, identity, fraud, risk or trust‑and‑safety products.
• Ownership of a platform or shared‑services product consumed by multiple internal teams or channels.
• Experience with detection or classification products built on AI/ML and understanding of precision/recall trade‑offs.
• Proven ability to operate in a regulated, high‑stakes environment with real consequences.
• Roadmap driven by market and threat intelligence rather than inbound customer requests.
• Strong written communication translating security trade‑offs for execs and engineers.
• Experience shifting from project delivery to product management.
• Background in assessment, certification, proctoring, biometrics or online exam integrity.

Responsibilities

• Own a persistent, outcome‑based roadmap for five security domains and related platforms.
• Design security as a shared platform with clear capabilities, contracts and integration patterns.
• Maintain live capability gap analyses across domains and answer what is needed to close weaknesses.
• Build and maintain a standing view of the threat landscape and feed it into the roadmap.
• Run continuous discovery with candidates, proctors, test centres, clients and internal teams.
• Contribute to the shared product operating model and evidence-based decision making.
